It has free car parking, two good pubs, both serving excellent food, a convenience store and newsagents, tea rooms, café and an indoor swimming pool

The Smugglers Inn serves excellent food all day every day either in the Cellar Bar or in good weather outside in the spacious garden.

The Exmoor Fish and Chip Company is parked on Blue Anchor Bay most days during the season.....good choice of fish, freshly cooked to order.

 

The seaside town of Minehead with its shops and restaurants is just a short drive away, the harbour is pretty and the old part of the town around the Church is worth exploring on the way up to North Hill with its spectacular views of the coast.

 

A visit to the medieval village of Dunster and Dunster Castle is a must.

The Moor Rover Bus allows vistors to plan a day on the moor without using a car. ATWEST who are operating the service will pick up within the West Somerset area of Exmoor National Park and drop off users at pre-arranged drop-off points anywhere on
Exmoor.

Individuals or groups can book. The Moor Rover bus has 16 seats and will transport passenger's wheelchairs, dogs and cycles.

Dunster Beach is very popular..The pay and display parking is right next to the beach...but if you are feeling energetic it is a lovely walk along the West Somerset Coast Path from Blue Anchor.

There is a cafe serving fish and chip and cream teas open during the season, pitch and put to entertain the kids (and adults) and behing the qusint beach chalets a small wooded lake teeming with wildlife.

 

If you enjoy walking then Primrose Hill has many lovely walks from the doorstep. We can suggest tried and tested walks and have maps and walking guides available to borrow.
